My name is Bill Chaney. I have been a pastor with the British Assemblies of God (AoG) Pentecostal Church for the past twenty years. In 2004 I, along with my wife Jackie, felt the clear calling of God to move to France and devote ourselves to working alongside our French Brothers and Sisters. We joined the Eglise Evangelique (French AoG) in Agen towards the end of 2004, since which time I have become just about fluent in the French language, and have worked alongside the French Pastor, Jack Lecomte. Despite the fact that Jackie has suffered for the last 6 years from ME, and is unable at this time to get out much, she has a great ministry in prayer, and supports me totally in all that I do for the Lord.
What is our goal?
To see the Lord move in a mighty way in the part of France to which they have been sent.
To encourage our fellow English-Speakers to integrate into the French Church and Community;
To see the Church in Agen grow to become a Spiritual Centre for Agen and the Lot-et-Garonne Department, including the planting out of new Churches in the area.
I would love to meet up with any other English-speakers in the Lot-et-Garonne, and would be happy to arrange an occasional Get-Together in the Church in Agen. We also, as a Church, would be very pleased to offer translation facilities if there are people who have not yet learned the language, so that they can enjoy the services we have, and can integrate better into the life of the Church.
